6 Weeks in Pittsburgh

The 1st-year intensive Czech class taught at the SLI provides the equivalent of an academic year's worth of study. Classes meet on the University of Pittsburgh campus Monday - Friday from 9am to 3pm. In addition to intensive language classes, students attend Czech films, lectures on politics and culture, singing classes, and cooking classes.

Housing:

1st-year Czech

10 Week Hybrid Program: Pittsburgh + Prague, Czech Republic

Students may add a 4-week abroad component onto the 6-week domestic Czech program. The abroad portion takes place at EnglishLink Language School in Prague, Czech Republic. While there, students will continue their intensive language classes and also participate in an extensive excursion program including trips to the Unesco Cultural Heritage site, Kutná Hora; ŘÍP Mountain; the Karlštejn Castle; The Theresienstadt Museum of the Holocaust; and visits to many other local museums and landmarks in and around Prague.
